Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
Hello @Former-Member
yes after mr shaz was in hospital 3 years ago and the specialist put him on 2 new meds have made a big difference
before three years ago , it was different
He tends to blame himself and has little self compassion.-- yes mr shaz does this
telI me I was a killjoy.-- ha ha me too @Former-Member
I think that is why I want him to stay on his meds xx

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
I would hate to see Mr D return to where he was @Shaz51. I am afraid my view on psych meds given their appalling side effects is to advocate for Mr D and his desire to take to he absolute minimum necessary to maintain stability. I will read up and speak up, but I will also listen to and respect the treating team and encourage Mr D to adhere to treatment. I would not want him off meds either.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
I agree @Shaz51 @Former-Member
While side affects are terrible unmedicated = so much worse for our loved ones.
Finding the balance is the key.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
Rain forecast here the next couple of days too, is windy. Hope cyclone stays well clear @Shaz51 and no hail in your neck of the woods @Determined . Mr Darcy did another section of mowing today. I went out for coffee this afternoon with understanding friend. For a pair of grumpy old killjoys we certainly laughed a lot.
