@Teej well i hope all my organs are good otherwise im in trouble now arent i 😏 No, no one else has had GA thats in the immediate family, i dont talk to many others but ah well . ill just have to keep doing the brave thing and put my big girl pants on too 🤷‍♀️

Re: rough time

You've done exceptionally well today my Lil Sis @outlander

to deal with everything that you went through, and you coped admirably.

They always have to tell you the risks of surgery just in case, but those risks are generally minor, and by staying in hospital pre and post surgery is so that by monitoring you they can hopefully avoid any issues before they are too noticeable or affecting you. I'm glad they gone done a safe route. Far better to be over cautious than under.

With your general anaesthetic, you'll be asleep before they put a breathing tube in. They will give you the anaesthesia through your IV drip. You won't remember any of the events of the tube insertion or surgery as they give you a different medication to help you forget. Once you've had the surgery, and you can breathe on your own, they may take the breathing tube out. If you have to have it left until you're breathing better, it will feel uncomfortable, but it won't hurt. You won't be able to talk if it's in. It's very straightforward to remove, and you'll be able to eat and drink normally after this.

Dental hospitals don't have trained nursing staff or specialist Dr's if things don't go to plan. Far better to be in a general hospital.

I had all of my teeth removed under general about 5 years ago now, and I'm really glad I did. They had trouble removing a couple of my upper teeth, so I'm sure glad I wasn't awake and aware of that.

A bit frustrating you having wait longer, but maybe your current infections will settle for a while. Rest up tonight, it's been a big day for you and much to take in. But it's done now. All you have to do is wait.

Re: rough time

Thanks sis @Sans911 it was super scary but at least that part is over now.

what gets me is how they are gong to get in there with a breathing tube in. hmm maybe dont tell me that.

They already told me that they will have to scrape away some jaw bone to get 2 of them out just because of the way they are placed and will continue to go while im waiting on the surgury.
they didnt explain what you just did though, i didnt think to ask either in amongst all the questions and information. they did tell me about possible nerve damages and that communication thingy and what they will do if that occurs, they also said ill need time off from the horses and doing minimal things for a few days. i wasnt going to tell them about my mental health but i did anyway esp since im on medications for it. they said pre-op requirements like fasting etc aswell.
im ok with waiting and putting up with it abit longer if it means its the safer option for me and also more trained staff on hand if they need it.

think thats all for now of what i can remember at this point.

Re: rough time

How are you guys going tonight? @CheerBear @Teej @Sans911

Re: rough time

Hey @outlander. Big hugs for your big day.

I'm going well tonight thanks, though a bit tired. I'm about to settle down with a cactus in a pot doll to be that I started this afternoon. Have to get up and mop first then I'll be happy enough with the house to sit down and not think about it.

How are you going? Anything planned for you for tonight?

Re: rough time

thanks @CheerBear and thanks for early this morning too.
Im glad your going well besides being tired. Your little cactus in a pot doll sounds cute, are you findng this one better than the owl one?

I was going to do some crochet but i cant get my hands to co-operate so put it away for the time being.

Im okish, settling abit more now after having a hot shower and watching a movie. nothing planned for tonight, but tomorrow is a little busy again with another health test and a few people coming to pick up items from my house.
Hopefully do abit of crochet tomorrow so i can get this blanket done and dusted before xmas (fingers crossed for that one anyway)

Do you have plans for tomorrow?

Re: rough time

This one is fun @outlander and if it works will be nice I think. It's a flip one so you turn the body in to itself and it turns into a little cactus in a pot. 🤞 It works!

Good to hear you're settling a little and great that you've tried the things you know can help to get there. Hope your hands start cooperating again soon.

Big day tomorrow for us including well and unwell people coming to stay to be her for it too. Would love to share but probably shouldn't. I probably won't be around much tomorrow so I'll wish you the best for your appointments tomorrow now ❤

Re: rough time

That does sound pretty cool! @CheerBear
Thats ok you dont have to share but im happy to listen if you need or want to share but no pressure.
Good luck for tomorrow as well ❤

Re: rough time

Would love to share but best to be a little quiet @outlander. It's a good thing though 🙂

Logging out for the night now. Hope there is some rest in your night.

Nighty night 😘

Re: rough time
